WX4NHC Annual Station Test 2013

Thank you for your contacts during our Annual Station Test and for your support during Hurricane Season.

Even though we experienced a solar storm for most of the morning, we did manage to make over 100 contacts.
We work stations using many of our available modes; HF, Phone, CW, VHF/UHF, EchoLink, IRLP, APRS HF and VHF, CWOP/ON-NHC, on-line reporting, email and even fax.
We made contacts with several NWS and Emergency Management Offices, many states, Caribbean islands, Central and South America and Europe.
We even made direct contact with the Canadian Hurricane Center, which activated their station just for our test - Thanks, eh!
Our radio equipment, antennas, computers and operators all checked out well.
Thanks to all for helping us prepare for this Hurricane Season.
We hope for a quiet one and we ask for everyone to be prepared and be safe.
